Coast Water Systems
EMCO Waterworks PC 753 partners closely with Coast Water Systems and provides solutions to all your chamber needs.
Coast Water Systems has been a Division of EMCO Corporation since February of 2013. Along with rapid growth the company has expanded its field of service, including increasing success in Alberta and Saskatchewan.
Coast Water operates a 14,000 sq. ft. manufacturing facility in Maple Ridge, BC, and specializes in the development and production of engineered Valve Stations. Its range of pre-assembled products includes, but is not limited to, Pressure Reducing Valve (PRV) Stations, Meter Chambers and Backflow Chambers. Over time, customer demands have evolved and have led to the demand for Pre-Assembled Stations. Pre-Assembled Stations are vault packages with the components assembled for the customer complete, ready for install and ready for use.

Customers no longer need to source items from multiple suppliers, or to engineer the product themselves. Coast Water has the ability to manage the completed application - the concept of taking it from paper, to production, to usage. Often, a customer may realize the need for a vault package, but the material will need to be sourced from multiple vendors. With a Coast Water package the work is already done for the customer. All submittals, approval drawings for the engineer, as well as installation manuals are standard for every package. The streamlined process saves both time and money for contractors, who may not specialize in sourcing so many different products and their suppliers.
Coast takes the unknown out of the process, and provides complete units, engineer-reviewed and ready for install. All that is required is the connecting of the station to pipe already in place, and tightening a few bolts that may have loosened in transit. This greatly reduces the amount of time and manpower that a contractor needs to get the station on line. Coast’s Pre-Assembled Stations are designed by experts that have fabricated, installed and maintained them. They are designed to maximize efficiency and reliability.
The reduction in required site time is the biggest advantage to the customer purchasing pre-packaged stations. With a vault from Coast Water, the contractor is able to install a station in a single day - dig the hole in the morning, install the chamber and back fill it in the afternoon. As you see in the pictures, the chamber is fully assembled and lowered into the hole that has been dug. Once in place, all that remains is to add the vent pipes and tie into the existing water line. The simplicity installing these chambers greatly reduces the chance of site delays and ultimately extra costs.
Further, Coast Water has the ability to custom-configure packages to the specifications of each municipality. Coast has delivered many varieties of ‘packages’ into Alberta. Coast is an approved PRV supplier in the city of Calgary.
In addition to Pre-Assembled Stations, Coast Water has also supplied pipe spools through its EMCO Distribution partners in Alberta. Coast Water’s manufacturing facility is able to provide a variety of quality carbon and stainless steel spools, depending on the application. Spools have been supplied for applications in Edmonton and Wood Buffalo. Steel spools further enhance Coast’s total offering.
Coast Water has a strong commitment to delivering high quality products. It is able to control the entire process as it fabricates all steel and stainless pipe in the shop. Sandblasting and epoxy coating are all completed in-house as well. Internal quality controls are maintained and frequently have third party inspectors provide independent certification. Ultimately, the goal is to provide the customer a chamber that five years from now will look and work the same as the day it was installed.
